Abstract

This dissertation offers the developers of the proposed Legislature Precinct in Batho, Bloemfontein, the option of re-inventing the historical site of the Ramkraal prison by opening the wall and proposing a Human Rights and Legal Aid Centre. The design of the wall will reflect the rite of passage by which a prison building is transformed into a structure of service to the community
