dc.description3 Irregularly shaped granite dice, polished and placed arbitrarily on a reflective black base. (PREHISTORIC DICE is to be made in a series of three similar but separate works, to be titled as PREHISTORIC DICE I, PREHISTORIC DICE II and PREHISTORIC DICE III. Each separate work will contain three dice – three dice on three different bases, nine dice in all. Each dice is somewhat distorted by its own unique set of historic and geological circumstances and its own submission to chance. The black dice with their amorphous fluidity are further reflected in the a pool of black presented by the smooth base on which they rest. Latin text on all three works to be placed outer edge of base.)en_ZA
